FAQ

What is Harmonic Intonement and how does it work?
Harmonic intonement is the use of simple posture breath mechanics and voice to establish optimum relaxation, balance and vitality. This process is achieved by using the voice to create and move sound vibration through the body. Sound vibration, in conjunction with positive thought and emotion, amplifies the wisdom of the heart and establishes the frequency of healing.

What is the harmonic dimension of the voice?
Just as a prism produces a range of colors of clear light, the voice will produce more that one tone, as it becomes relaxed and open. These additional tones, hiding within the body of the fundamental tone, are called "harmonic overtones". Tuvan throat singing, Tibetan chanting and Mongolian overtone singing are all examples of the skilled manipulation of the harmonic voice.

What if I can't carry a tune or am uncomfortable using my voice?
Of course having a beautiful singing voice is great, however, the apparent quality of one's singing voice does not alter the benefits of Harmonic Intonement The nature and sincerity of one's intention along with the ability to just quietly listen are far more important than a gifted voice. Our voice is our own highly personal vibratory signature and naturally we might be a little shy. Vocal work is conducted by collectively joining our voices in a comfortable group setting. Any reluctance is acknowledged, honored and easily transcended. This alone can be a transformational experience.    More FAQs
